DR. ROSS HOUSE with Dr. Phillip Burns
In a small building out back, Dr. James A. Ross saw patients who paid him in chickens, corn or other farm produce. He and his wife, Jennie, built the Folk Victorian in 1872. The building later became the community’s first hospital.
